Three Events That A Donut Wall Can Complement

Blog

If you've ever seen images of a donut wall shared on social media, you've perhaps been excited about this feature and longed to arrange it at an event that you're organizing. Speak to a local catering company that has experience with donut walls, and you'll get some ideas about not only how to approach having one, but also what types of events are best for this idea. Here are some events that a donut wall can complement.

Wedding

Many couples who are planning their weddings choose to have donut walls available to their guests at their reception. There are many reasons that this idea works well at weddings. Food is often a key attraction at these gatherings, so offering your guests a dessert style of food beyond the traditional wedding cake can be something that excites everyone in attendance. Additionally, there are lots of decorative ways that you can tie your donut wall into your wedding. For example, lots of couples arrange to have custom donuts that are finished in icing that matches their wedding's colors. If you're having a fall wedding with brown and orange hues, chocolate donuts with orange icing can be a perfect look.

Baptism

If you're arranging a baptism gathering for your son or daughter, you know that food will be a big part of it. Many people choose a catering company to oversee the food for this event as it will allow them to spend more time with family at such an important time in the family's life. There are many ways that you can approach the look of a donut wall for a child's baptism party. Because white is a common color at baptisms — given that the child who is being baptized is traditionally dressed in this hue — vanilla donuts with vanilla icing may be appropriate. You can have your catering company further decorate the donuts by adding the child's name, the date, or imagery such as a cross.

Retirement Party

A donut wall can be perfect for various types of retirement parties. For a gathering with a full meal, donuts can be a fun option for dessert. If you're organizing a smaller get-together, which perhaps just has coffee and snacks, a donut wall will work just as well. This idea is a good match for a retirement party because donuts are common in many offices, so everyone will enjoy munching on carefully decorated donuts from a local catering company, rather than the traditional choices from the coffee shop down the street.

Protecting Your Cookie Sheets

When I got married, one of my mom’s friends gave me a set of 3 cookie sheets at my wedding shower. Because I liked to bake peanut butter cookies, I was excited to receive this thoughtful gift. After the wedding, I started using these handy cookie sheets several nights each week. In addition to baking cookies on them, I used them to cook other types of foods as well. I baked French fries on them. I also roasted vegetables on them. Unfortunately, by using them for multiple purposes, they quickly lost their non-stick properties. Whenever I baked cookies on them, the cookies would stick to the sheets. So, I purchased a new set of cookies sheets. Now, I only bake cookies on cookie sheets. On this blog, you will discover ways to protect your valuable cookie sheets.
