Ideal Meat Products To Buy For Your Teens

Blog

When you visit a fresh meat market in your community, you might be thinking about buying a roast, a whole turkey, or another large protein source that can feed your entire family. While this type of shop can provide each of these options, it also sells other products that you may wish to have on hand for your teenagers. If you work a lot and your teens need to occasionally prepare their own dinners, it's handy if they have some high-quality meats that they can prepare with ease. Here are some options that your local fresh meat market has available.

Sliders

A lot of teenagers enjoy eating sliders, which are small burger patties that go on small buns. A few sliders can make for a good meal for a teen with a big appetite, but some teens will occasionally favor eating just one slider as a snack. Most teens won't form their own sliders if you have a package of ground beef in the fridge but will likely be comfortable with cooking some sliders if the patties are already prepared. Meat markets often sell slider patties in different ways—for example, you can buy large packages or buy just a few individual sliders, depending on your needs.

Chicken Tenders

Some parents buy breaded chicken tenders for their kids to enjoy as a snack. However, if one of your children has a gluten intolerance or you don't want your kids eating too much breaded food, there's a better option to consider. You can buy some plain chicken tenders at your local meat market. Your kids can cook this non-breaded meat in the air fryer and enjoy it with some sauce or dip, or you can grill up a handful of tenders at the start of the week so that your kids have an easy snack or meal option when you're busy.

Hot Dogs

Most teens enjoy hot dogs, but you might not feel good about your kids consuming the unhealthy ingredients that are often present in standard commercial hot dogs. Many meat markets produce their own in-house hot dogs, and this product generally has healthier ingredients than what you find in your supermarket. Teens can prepare these hot dogs as a meal when you're not home or as a snack when they're hungry after school.

Protecting Your Cookie Sheets

When I got married, one of my mom’s friends gave me a set of 3 cookie sheets at my wedding shower. Because I liked to bake peanut butter cookies, I was excited to receive this thoughtful gift. After the wedding, I started using these handy cookie sheets several nights each week. In addition to baking cookies on them, I used them to cook other types of foods as well. I baked French fries on them. I also roasted vegetables on them. Unfortunately, by using them for multiple purposes, they quickly lost their non-stick properties. Whenever I baked cookies on them, the cookies would stick to the sheets. So, I purchased a new set of cookies sheets. Now, I only bake cookies on cookie sheets. On this blog, you will discover ways to protect your valuable cookie sheets.
